When a MK60EC1 ABS/ESP unit is replaced with a used or blank module its long coding is gone, and a coding copied from another car is rejected because the control unit checks the VIN against the instrument cluster. This calculator rebuilds the coding from scratch: choose the ABS part number, enter the car's VIN, and set the equipment from the option dropdowns. The VIN-derived bytes and the mirror checksums are computed for you.
The MK60EC1 coding embeds seven characters of the VIN — positions 7, 8 and 13 to 17 — each transformed by a fixed per-byte offset, and four checksum bytes that are the bit-mirror of the model, brake, chassis and stability bytes. Those transforms, together with the byte-0 model table, are taken from the official VCDS label for 1K0-907-379 and reproduce four known-good real cars' factory codings exactly.
Every option is annotated with the PR numbers that select it, so you can read them straight off the car's build sticker. You can also paste the whole PR list and let the tool fill the fields. Where a PR is genuinely ambiguous — an iTPMS variant, or a hydraulic brake servo that could be one of two types — the field is set to UNKNOWN and the tool generates the three or four plausible codings for you to try on the module in order.
